The Cocoa House, Marsden Rd, Stafford
A retail unit and three 2 bedroom flats completed in 2021.
This well known building (formally a social club) had been derelict for over 25 years following a fire. It was originally constructed to provide refreshments for the employs of the shoe industry working in the north end of Stafford. Only the internal ground floor walls and façade remained. Planning permission was granted to re-build the ground floor for commercial use and add a further 3 stories for residential use. The 19th century façade was retained and repaired to keep the impressive streetscape.
